Costa Rica can be whatever you want it to be. Especially if you like monkey-ing around. The nightlife is tantalizing with casinos and nightclubs to keep you entertained, if you dont get enough rest sunbathing on the white sand beaches. The real estate is very affordable, for now anyways.  This would be a good time to buy. With more baby boomers reaching retirement Costa Rica has serious potential to see some increased appreciation in real estate.
